Participation of the Fontys Dance Academy in the 8th Guangdong Modern Dance Festival in Guangzhou

Teachers and students from the Dutch Fontys Dance Academy are in Guangzhou again, participating in the 8th Guangdong Modern Dance Festival. Fontys Dance Academy has been participating in the dance festival since 2008. Experts, teachers and students are taking part in the festival by presenting main stage shows, symposiums, seminars, special programs and master classes.

Being a unique cultural event in China and an international window to the art of dance, Guangdong Modern Dance Festival has successfully gained national and international recognitions, since its inauguration in 2004.
Mr. Maarten Derksen, Acting Consul General, welcomed the delegation at the consulate. He congratulated them with their successful performance and encouraged the collaborations to be further enhanced, expressing his hope to welcome the artists on next year’s edition of the festival.
