The 3rd Holland Pavilion kicks off at the 110th Canton Fair
On 15 October 2011, Maarten Derksen, Acting Consul General opened the 3rd Holland Pavilion at the 110th Canton Fair in Pazhou International Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Chen Chaoren, both Vice Secretary General of China Import and Export Fair and Vice Chairman of China Foreign Trade Centre addressed at the opening, followed with a ribbon cutting ceremony together with representatives of participating Dutch companies from Burg CC, Dekra and Nilesk.
Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, the initiator, made the Holland Pavilion into a recurring event ever since its successful debut at the 108th Canton Fair. With positive results received from previous editions, the Holland Pavilion is expected to further enhance the development of business relations between the Netherlands and China, via participating in the world’s biggest fair.
Whilst thanking Mr. Chen for his help and platform Canton Fair provide for Dutch companies, Mr. Derksen emphasized that all business in the Netherlands are interested in contributing to help China achieve its targets and face its challenges in the strategic development period of China’s 12th Five-Year-Plan, especially in the field of sustainable development and innovation. Chen congratulated on the opening and extended welcome to more participants with a wider range of industries, for instance, foodstuff and pharmaceutical products.
