1 Visa Section Closed on 1 June 2012
The Visa Section of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou will be closed on Friday 1st June 2012.
2 Closure dates
The Consulate General of the Netherlands will be closed on 17 May 2012 (Ascension Day) and 28 May 2012 (Whit Monday).
3 Consul General Guangzhou Interview by Face Time, GDTV World Channel
On May 7, Consul General Mrs Anne Luwema was interviewed by Face Time, a 20-minute diplomatic series talk show program presented by GDTV World Channel. Mr. Yang Zhuoxing, Vice President of GDTV met with Consul General prior to interview.
4 The Consulate General holds the Queen’s Day Celebration in Sofitel, Guangzhou
On 26 April 2012, the Queen’s Day celebration reception was held in Sofitel. The reception was attended by about 300 people, including Dutch communities, Chinese officials and contacts in the Pearl River Delta. The reception was addressed by Mrs Anne Luwema, Consul General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou and Mr. Liu Xiaojie, Deputy Secretary-General of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government. Madam Gong Erzhen, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government, Consular Corps and officials from Foreign Affairs Offices in the Consulate General’s resort were present.
5 Consulate General close at 16:00 on 26 April 2012
The Consulate General will close at 16:00 on Thursday 26 April 2012. Visa and legalization collection time will be between 15:00-15:30.
6 Consul General Guangzhou speaks at the opening of the Creative Day event
On April 22, Consul General Mrs Anne Luwema spoke at the opening of the Dutch and Chinese Designer Global Branding Fashion Salon held at T.I.T Creative Industry Park in Guangzhou. The Salon was attended by a number of Chinese and European experts in fashion industry, with 2 renowned Dutch keynote speakers in fashion design field.
7 Canton Fair Networking event at Canton Tower
On 18th April 2012 the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou and the Benelux Chamber of Commerce PRD Chapter jointly hosted a Canton Fair Networking event at the Canton Tower. Ms. Anne Luwema, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, welcomed the guests and delivered a speech at the event. Participants of the Holland Pavilion at the Canton Fair and their guests and members of the BenCham attended the event.
8 The 4th Holland Pavilion opens at the 111th Canton Fair
On 15 April 2012, Maarten Derksen, Acting Consul General opened the 4th Holland Pavilion at the 111th Canton Fair in Pazhou International Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Mr. Wang Runsheng, Deputy Director-General of China Foreign Trade Centre addressed at the opening and expressed his welcome towards the participating Dutch companies, and he hopes to see more products and companies from the Netherlands to participate in the world’s biggest fair.
10 Mr. Chris Buijink, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation speaks at Anniversary Ceremony of SEADC
On April 2, Mr. Chris Buijink spoke at the R & D Joint Platform and Anniversary Ceremony of the Sino-European Agriculture Development Centre in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province.
