The Tulip Festival Opens To The Public

On 19th February, the Guangzhou Tulip Festival kicked off at Nansha Sunflower Garden. Tens of thousands of imported tulip bulbs are expected to bloom in the coming month.

Consul General Ms. Anne Luwema attended the opening ceremony and had an exchange with Mr. Huang Ka, Deputy Mayor of Nansha District and Mr. Tan Weixing, CEO of Sunflower Garden on the interesting topics of the tulip and Dutch flower bulb sector. She also introduced the development status and trends of Dutch sustainable agriculture. As 2012 is the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands, the Consulate General is going to organize and facilitate all sorts of activities. So stay tuned.
